Why You Should Attend Personal Financial Workshops

I attended a few personal finance workshops with my mother when I was younger. She would get these invites in the mail that would get her really excited. They would claim you would learn everything you need to know about personal financial planning by attending and since no one else wanted to go with her, she would drag me along (kicking and screaming, of course). She made me dress up in a business suit and promise to be on my best behavior. They were long and boring enough to put me to sleep, and they always wanted us to buy something at the end, but we never did. What I didn't realize at the time is that I was actually learning from those long winded speakers at the workshops. I found myself practicing some of the things they were teaching and some of it was really useful. I've tried attending a few of these personal finance workshops now that I'm older, but they are still boring and I fall right to sleep as soon as they begin.

Changing Your Financial Attitude

The way you handle your money plays a large part in whether you become financially secure or continue to struggle with your debt and bills. Some people know how to make their money work for them and some work for their money. If you're living from paycheck to paycheck and cannot even consider losing your job, then you are working for your money and need to learn how to make it work for you. Most financially stable people will tell you that hard work and a balanced budget can put you in the same position. It does not matter what tax bracket you are in at the moment or where you grew up, you can become financially secure if you are willing learn how money works.
