Stop Sinus Problems for Good
Most people I know wake up every morning pretty congested and throughout most of the day may have a runny or stuffy nose or even suffer from headaches or face pain from sinus pressure. Those who come down with the flu or a cold may find it even more difficult to stop sinus problems because these will even aggravate the condition even more.
Fortunately, it's not hopeless if you are sick of being sick and don't think you'll ever get better. There are actually a lot of things you can try, though you may be surprised with what some of them are!
The first thing to do is identify and remove what things may be triggering your allergies. Almost all of us are allergic to dust mites, for example, and so it's critical to really clean your house, your carpet, your bed, and other areas carefully. Some may decide to go without carpet entirely, since unless you have a heavy duty and very expensive sweeper, you are not really getting most of the dust out of your carpet anyway. Those with pets may also need to follow these same practices, since pet hair can be another common trigger for some.
Beyond the typical dust and other environmental allergies, there are some sensitivities that will really shock you, because they're not necessarily allergies in the usual sense, but better known as protein intolerance. Many of the foods we eat have proteins in them, such as wheat, milk, eggs, and nuts. These foods can cause life threatening reactions in some individuals – and in others it may instead result in some uncomfortable but easily dismissed symptoms such as bloating, stomach pain, nausea, eczema, asthma, depression, runny nose, rashes, acne, and digestion problems.
Now, if you have chronic sinus problems, you probably like me and everybody else I know think you're not allergic to anything. I never suspected wheat or dairy were a problem for me – until I stopped eating them. My son, who for years coughed all night long (supposedly according to his doctors because of a dust mite allergy), started doing better just after a week and a half of a gluten free and casein free diet. We never thought we had food sensitivities whatsoever until after going several weeks without the foods and realized that it was causing so many chronic health problems that we were ready to just "live with". As an added bonus, you'll naturally start eating more healthy fruits and vegetables, which helps increase antioxidants in your body and keep you from getting cold and flu viruses.
If you manage to get rid of all of these things making you sick, whether they be food or environmentally related, the next step is to try a nasal rinse system that can help clear nasal passages and make you feel instantly better. Some people use a simple pot filled with water, while others prefer a more advanced nasal irrigation system instead. Either way, getting these nasal passages clear will greatly help in reducing pressure and making it so you can breathe easier.
Many people take countless over the counter medications that don't really work or even undergo through unnecessary surgery to stop sinus problems. You don't have to suffer like this! Learning good tips to clear your nasal passages in combination with getting rid of allergen triggers are all you may need.

I too have suffered from sinus problems all my life and have tried all the elimination diets possible. The only thing that has helped me (apart from constantly taking decongestants) is using a Neti pot which I discovered only last year. Ideally I should use it every day to keep the sinuses clear all the time but I get lazy. However if I use it at the first sign of congestion and for the next few days it clears up my sinuses completely. As a drug free method of clearing congestion it has worked for me. After a lifetime of problems at last I now have a solution!
