Outdoor Chandeliers — The Best Option

Outdoor chandeliers are a lovely addition to any room. If you have a rustic interest, many chandeliers can be found that look like candles. Others have metal working that reminds the viewer of primitive tools being used to fashion it. One of my favorites is the antler chandelier. Designed from either imitation or real ones, antlers give a rustic air that few others can. Some interior and exterior fixtures incorporate the use of antlers with other things such as stained glass globes, deer or moose patterns, or chandelier shades. When an outdoor chandelier is used it can make space seem even bigger.

With their out swept arms and candle shaped lights stretching heavenward, they shine their mystic dance across the patio furniture and sides of the home they are mounted from. A low wattage bulb is a good choice for outdoor chandeliers. Chandeliers accent other lights, working together to make a space as bright or dim as the occupants prefer. When on a dimmer, the lights can be adjusted. If someone wants to sit at the table and read, the light can be turned up brighter. When it is dimmer, more attention can be drawn to the setting sun or even the fixture itself. Lighting is a tool that can be used, but it is also a design element that can enrich the surroundings where it hangs. All outdoor lighting fixtures should be checked for UL approval. They are typically rated for use in wet or damp areas. I have seen some outdoor chandelier lights hanging in trees at parties. One town even decked out for the 4th of July with chandeliers hung above the two main streets. If hanging one outside, be sure they are fastened so that they can withstand some wind. For the 4th of July day, the city even tied guy ropes to the chandelier arms to prevent them from swinging wildly if a wind storm came up. Outdoor chandeliers are a lovely addition to areas from sun rooms to decks.
