The Electric Cigarette – High Tech Nicotine Replacement
If you are a smoker then I'm sure you don't need me to tell you how difficult it is to kick the habit. If you haven't yet tried the electric cigarette as an aid to help you stop smoking, then you have no doubt already tried the multitude of other products which promise to give you success in your efforts to quit.
The old school method of quitting is using willpower and we all know how well that works. It's the method most of us use during our first attempts to stop, believing that getting off cigarettes should present no significant problem. We quickly realize that the game is more difficult than we thought and decide we need some help to reach our goals.
The problem is nothing on the market lives up to the promise on the packet. Nicotine replacement therapies seem like they should be the most successful choice but the fact is they keep you addicted to the nicotine you are trying to cut out, without satisfying you in the same way as a cigarette used to. It's more than just the physical addiction to nicotine we have to worry about when stopping with NRT such as gum or a patch and they just doesn't cut it when you are at the bar with your friends and they are all puffing on their cigs.
The electric cigarette, on the other hand, beats standard nicotine replacement therapies hands down and is actually helping smokers stay off tobacco over the long term. It looks and feels much like a regular cigarette except its a little larger and a touch heavier. It works by vaporizing nicotine when you inhale instead of burning and so cuts out most of the poisonous chemicals involved in smoking tobacco.
Of course, we still have the same problem in that we continue to be addicted to nicotine but once you are free of tobacco and get used to life without regular cigarettes, you can work on gradually cutting down your nicotine intake. If you are struggling to stop smoking then try replacing your smokes with an e cigarette, it might be the best health related decision you ever make.
