Why you need to Diversify your Internet Traffic Sources

The old saying "don't put your eggs in one basket" truly applies to the places we use for traffic. As the Internet is ever changing so are the traffic sources we use for our business. Like many, article marketing is one of my favorite ways to get traffic and backlinks. For the last few months, I've been trying out Buzzle. They weren't the easiest to generate, but I read a lot of article marketeers liked them.

One Example of Why Diversification is Good

Anyway, the articles were being approved in a few days and the hits were OK too. There were some backlinks showing up on Google, so it was a good source for traffic and links.

Ezinearticles is still #1 for now, until maybe PYOA gets going, but Ezinearticles gets the traffic. In fact here's one, 3 symptoms of major depression, I wrote that slipped through the cracks and has 2,448 views. I believe it made it into the top 15 category for 90 days.

As far as Buzzle they were OK for the purpose, and then recently it happened. I submitted two articles and it took more than a week for approval. I kept a mental note of this and hoped it was an isolated incident. Then again, just last week I submitted two more articles on Tuesday and watched. A week passed and they were still pending. Remembering late Wednesday, I did a quick check and they were gone, vanished.

I checked my email for any notification from Buzzle, there was none and still no response to my inquiry. Life is too short and there are plenty of other places to do business with. Maybe I should take my own advice with Ezinearticles, I take for granted they will remain solid but who knows.

This is a good example of why you should diversify your Internet traffic and always be on the look out for new sources. Putting all you eggs in one basket may be convenient, but if something happens to your basket, where does that leave your business?
