If you do a keyword search using Google Search, there's a good chance that there's already a Wikipedia page related directly to that keyword already in existence and probably near the top of the first page of the results. When you don't have any kind of advertising on your website, it doesn't really matter what kind of layout you use. In that case, a fluid-width design would probably be the best option because it would appeal to the widest variety of website visitors. The same is not necessarily true when you ARE displaying ads.
